  • PhD Candidate Ali Ebrahimi won the Best Medical Robotics Paper Award at the 2019 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation . The paper titled “Adaptive Control of Sclera Force and Insertion Depth for Safe Robot-Assisted Retinal Surgery” is co-authored with Dr. Niravkumar Patel, Changyan He, Dr. Peter Gehlbach, Dr. Marin Kobilarov, and Dr. Iulian Iordachita.
  • Visiting Masters Student Di Wu was the finalist of the Best Symposium Paper Award at the International Symposium on Medical Robotics (ISMR’19). The paper titled “Remotely Actuated Needle Driving Device for MRI-guided Percutaneous Interventions” is co-authored Dr. Gang Li, Dr. Niravkumar Patel, Jiawen Yan, Dr. Reza Monfaredi, Dr. Kevin Cleary and Dr. Iulian Iordachita.
