Graduate Student Research

The AMIRo Lab supports an active graduate research program including Master’s and Doctoral students in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Engineering. We also support projects for students in other disciplines including Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Prof. Iordachita would be happy to discuss potential research projects with qualified perspective graduate students. However, it is often not possible to effectively respond to all requests, especially around application deadline dates. If you are considering joining the AMIRo lab, please contact Prof. Iordachita well in advance of the graduate admissions deadlines. When contacting, please be sure to clearly state the program and level you are interested in applying into. If you are interested in the lab and have an appropriate background, please go ahead and submit your application and be sure to mention your research interests in the application.

Please note that priority in the lab will be given to Doctoral candidates entering with a Master’s degree (or current graduate students with a track record at JHU). Funded RA positions in the lab are sometimes available, however a determination will NOT be made prior to submission of your application.

If you are interested in applying to the doctoral program at WSE at JHU, please see the WSE Graduate Admissions web page.

For current graduate students at WSE, please contact Prof. Iordachita for Directed Research projects and Dissertation Research topics.
